North Indian heaven

Restaurant Name- Pind Balluchi
Location-Located in 13 Regal Building, near Regal Cinema  Connaught Place of Delhi
Cuisine- North Indian

The restaurant is located in a block where people go shopping only if they are in a money saving mode as in the well known destinations of Regal Cinema, Sree Leathers and Khadi. In the same mode there are very bleak chances that one would enter a restaurant that doesn't offer cheap food options. However in one of the Friday evening when I went there with a friend my idea above got totally negated, it seemed a place which has its own fan following and a targeted crowd. The seating of the restaurant was nice, typical dhaba kind of look. The waiters all were dressed in Punjabi attire, even the gate man was dressed in a similar manner and wished us Sat-Sri- akal when we entered.

It offered us a wide variety of north Indian vegetarian and non vegetarian food. We focused ourselves on food started with kebabs. The drinks menu also had average quality liquor available however there were no happy hours hence we restricted on quantity.

The kebabs tasted heavenly, and had beaten any lucknawi kebabs I have tasted till now. They were soft, the  meat seemed well minced  and cooked adequately, food and drinks were quickly served. The quantity was not huge however served two well. We ended our evening there with Chicken biryani. The biriyani unexpectedly was a deviation from the hyderabadi or awadhi cuisine that we have tasted. I would rather call it a chicken pulao but it tasted equally good as its kebab counterparts

All in all, in terms of North Indian cuisine it remains the best I have ever had.

Total cost for two was 1800 with kebabs, drinks and dinner and off course inclusive of taxes.
My rating 9.5/10 and if you have not been there till now, you are definitely missing out on lot.

Chinese yeah

Restaurant Name- Pioneer's Flavours of China
Location-Located in the  Pioneer Crockery House in the H block of Outer Circle Connaught Place of Delhi
Cuisine- Chinese
The restaurant enjoys its benefit of location in place where there is a lot of office going crowd and to top that is a hub for shopping too. The seating of the restaurant is comfortable though like other lounges it doesn't boasts of big sofas n stuff. The waiters are very friendly, on being asked about food varieties, happy hours and discounts they gave due explanations as well as suggestions to go ahead.

It has a wide variety of vegetarian as well as non vegetarian food. The chicken and vegetarian platter ordered tasted well - less oily , optimum spices, the chicken was tender and well cooked. The quantity was awesome. The drinks menu had wide variety however restricted to mid quality liquor. The happy hours ensured  1+1 or flat 50% some drinks were as cheap as 95 rupees. The co-eaters in the restaurant in the evening time were all office going 25-35 crowd. The noodles ordered for dinner was good too. The service was quick. All in all a total value for money restaurant. :)

Total cost for two was 1500 with snacks, drinks and dinner and off course inclusive of taxes.
My rating 8.5/10 and a must visit
