Theek Thaak

Restaurant Name- Dragon's Maharani

Location-K Block, Connaught Place

The restaurant enjoys its location being just opposite to Plaza and is a good hangout for shoppers, movie goers as well as its exclusive crowd.

You get welcomed at the door and once you enter you are given an option of seating in the lounge in first floor or in normal seating in the ground floor. Only on being asked we were told that the lounge is gonna cost us a little higher.

The Menu offered quite a good variety  of Chinese, Thai and north Indian unlike our thought that it is an exclusive Chinese Restaurant.

Waiters were moderately friendly, however on repeated insistence on if there is a discount on the card from which we are going to pay he denied of any such discounts, until we said we want to speak to the manager. We were right however and there was a discount.

The speed of service is decent neither too fast nor too slow. We stuck to Chinese, however the usual issue that we have faced with restaurant's serving a different cuisines is you don't get authentic of any. I would say the food tasted fine however was far from the kind of Chinese we wanted.

The drinks menu was averagely priced the happy hours ensure 1+1 however 1 costs u normally 140 thereby keeping it at par with the restaurants of its level.

Cost for two is 1700 inclusive of taxes. I believe it was a little on higher side based on the taste of the food. All in all based on service, location, taste, ambiance, co-diners I give it I would say it is an average and OK place to be and enjoy an evening with friends wont really say is a must visit however you wont be disappointed if you go. I give it 7/10.

Suo Grande

Restaurant Name- Fresco

Location-Janpath, Connaught Place
The restaurant stands prominent in Janpath opposite to the shopping arena. The variety of food that it offers definitely justifies its location as lots of foreign tourists come here for lunch.

There are good enough number of waiters + table managers to serve you, so you never really have to wait more than minute for them to come to your seat. In fact in regular intervals they come and ask if we are enjoying our food or not and if there is anything we further need.

Looking at the good variety of food they were offering in buffet me and my friends decided to go for it.

You can start with soups which is served at your table with a bread basket moving forward to salads, starters, main course, fruits and finally desserts. No drinks alcoholic or non alcoholic is included in the menu so one has to order for it separately.

The food tasted nice was quite unlike the punjabified Italian we are used to having in other joints. Best part about buffet is you get to taste all. Pizza was thin base pizza with loads of toppings. Pasta was adequately cooked again with loads of toppings.. There is a large variety of add-ons in terms of dressing, salts, sauces with which you can have anythings there. Surprisingly when I went for pizza it was finished, however i did not ask anyone for it. Later on when freshly made pizza came the waiter specially bought it to my table for serving me...
Cost for two is 1900 inclusive of taxes. I believe it was a little on higher side because it was just food and a mocktail so I am deducting 1 mark for that. But all in all based on service, location, taste, ambiance, co-diners I give it 8.75/10 and its a must try :)

Naah Never!

Restaurant Name- Three Cheers
Location-Tolstoy Marg, Connaught Place
The restaurant is located in a a lane that originates from Tolstoy Marg , you have to walk quite a bit to reach it. When we entered it seemed that it caters to only an exclusive customer base.
There weren't many waiters serving that day, and we were made to sit in table which was rather inadequate for 5 people. The service seemed very inefficient as we waited for Menu for at least 7 minutes and after getting the Menu and deciding on what to have when we tried calling for order the person arrived 10 mins later. Anyways we started ordering food and liquor and we realized out of 4 things mentioned in the Menu only one was available. And hence we were advised by the waiter to go for our second choices, on deciding upon the second choices we called for the waiter who came again after 7-10 minutes. And we realized most of our second choices weren't available too.
The prices in the menu seemed not so justifiable and very easily would have cost us 4000-4500 inclusive of taxes for 5 of us.
Not very easy on pocket, as well as unavailability of food and drinks we wanted to have made us leave from there.
All in all based on ambiance, comfort, quickness of service, variety of food and location I would rate it 1.5/7 (not scoring on 10 as we did not really got to taste anything). Conclusion neither I am going there again nor recommending anyone.
